As Irgang Group’s chief executive, Mark is responsible for acquisitions, financing, construction management, and general administration.
Mark has been acquiring, developing and redeveloping residential, mixed-use and commercial properties in the Bronx and Manhattan since 1981, when he purchased and renovated his first commercial building.
In the 1990’s Mark created software for COO Orli Eshkar to use in her architectural practice. The program worked so well that he founded and operated a company that produced and sold the software to some of the largest names in the construction industry in New York City.
He currently serves on the board of the 125th Street Building Improvement District and previously served as the group’s comptroller. Over the years, Irgang Group has acquired and redeveloped multiple properties along Harlem’s most prominent street, with its current holdings including five retail and mixed-use properties, two of which are planned to be redeveloped into major mixed-use projects.
Mark holds a BS in accounting and an MBA in taxation from New York University’s Stern School of Business Administration.
A Registered Architect in the New York and New Jersey, Orli directs design, construction and municipal compliance on all projects at Irgang Group.
Orli has been practicing in New York State since 1987. Prior to joining Irgang Group in 1992, Orli operated her own New York City architectural practice, where she handled new construction and renovation on numerous mixed-use, residential, commercial, and community facility projects. Her responsibilities included working with the NYC Department of Buildings and all associated municipal agencies.
Previously, she worked for several architectural firms as well as the design and construction management divisions of the New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation. Past design projects have included renovations and expansions of apartment, industrial and daycare buildings; new construction of row houses, apartment buildings and detached homes; and renovations of restaurants and nightclubs.
Orli has a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the City College of New York School of Architecture.
Jane, a Certified Public Accountant, is responsible for the evaluation and execution of Irgang Group’s financial and operational decisions, lease and vendor contract compliance, logistical operations, and capital structure.
She joined the company’s accounting department in 2007 after spending a year as an accountant at another firm. Jane received a BS degree in accounting from Brooklyn College in 2005 and earned her CPA license in 2010.
Yuri, a Registered Architect in New York and New Jersey, is responsible for architectural design and project management, from start to finish, on mixed-use redevelopments and other projects executed by Irgang Group. Since joining the company in 2016, he has directed projects involving over 600 residential units and 150,000 square feet of commercial space in New York City.
Over the course of his 20-year career, Yuriy has directed the design, zoning, project management and drafting on numerous large and medium-sized residential and mixed-use projects in New York City. His awards Include multiple Green Globes and the Big Apple Brownfield Award for BRIGHTNGREEN, the flagship mixed-use project designed and developed by Scarano Architects & Realty of Brooklyn. Yuriy served as a Project Manager/Designer at Scarano Architects from 2005 until 2016.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Architectural Technology from CUNY’s New York City College of Technology.
Sam, who joined Irgang Group in 2010, is responsible for accounts receivable, accounts payable, preparation of financial statements, and financial reporting.
Previously, he spent 10 years in sales at W & K Trading, Inc.
Sam holds an Associate degree in Business Management from the CUNY’s Borough of Manhattan Community College.
Gene joined Irgang Group in the fourth quarter of 2021 following the company’s acquisition of Union Lake Crossing shopping center in Millville, NJ. Since 2010, he had been the ‘go-to-guy’ for the former owners of the 393,000-square-foot power center, getting involved with everything from store build-outs to property maintenance and general trouble-shooting.
As a licensed contractor in the state of New Jersey, Gene brings to Irgang Group over 30 years’ experience and knowledge in all phases of construction. From his base in Millville, he now oversees day-to-day operations of Union Lake Crossing as well as Poplin Place, a 196,462-square-foot power center in Monroe, NC (metro Charlotte), acquired by Irgang Group in the first quarter of 2022.
Gene’s responsibilities for the two centers include hiring and overseeing all maintenance and common area construction contractors; coordinating with engineers, architects and inspectors on store build-outs and common area construction projects; overseeing fire inspections to keep the properties in compliance; general safety coordination; cost coordination; and handling tenant or visitor complaints.
