MILLVILLE — Union Lake Crossing Shopping Center is on the expansion list for Crumbl, a cookie maker with the receipts to back up its claim to be “the fastest-growing dessert chain in the nation.”
Bill Parness, a spokesman for center owner Irgang Group, says Crumbl has signed a lease for a 1,440-square-foot store. An opening is expected in spring 2024, one of several Crumbl expects next year in New Jersey.
Parness said the franchise will be operated by Zola Desserts North Brunswick LLC. The cookie bakery will be in a space previously used by Geico in a building directly facing Route 47.

When is Crumbl opening in Millville?
Crumbl spokeswoman Beth Baty said the company does not have date certain for opening in Millville since the length of construction is not definite. The company does plan openings in January 2024 in both Mount Laurel and Mays Landing, she added.
It has a dozen bakeries in New Jersey, with the closest to Millville in Cherry Hill and Turnersville. One shop feature is customers can view the kitchen where their cookies come together.
Crumbl was founded by two cousins who opened their first bakery in 2017 in Utah. It now has more than 800 bakeries spread across all 50 states and as of 2023 in Canada.
